QUANDO L’ESSENZIALE È INVISIBILE AGLI OCCHI
When the Essential Is Invisible to the Eye
The Contribution of Studio Belvedere to Innovation and the Protection of the Territory
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Studio BLV – Belvedere & Partners, the ADI Design Museum hosts an exhibition retracing half a century of urban transformations, territorial innovations, and visionary projects.
Curated by Luciano Galimberti, with the scientific coordination of Valentina Fisichella, and exhibition design by Mario Cucinella / MCA Architects with Michela Galli, the show explores the role of Studio Belvedere in urban regeneration processes and territorial protection policies, bringing architecture, law, and society into dialogue.
Through photographs, videos, documents, drawings, and first-hand accounts, the exhibition unfolds along a timeline from 1975 to 2025, recounting the studio’s history and its contribution to the major transformations of Milan and Italy.
Three case studies delve into the relationship between innovation, governance, and urban design, revealing how legal culture can become a tool for vision and change.
The exhibition is accompanied by a book of the same title, edited by Luca Mocarelli, and by educational activitiespromoted by the Junior Lab and dedicated to younger audiences, encouraging reflection on the future of our cities.
A journey through a changing Italy, seen through the eyes of those who, for fifty years, have worked to ensure that what is essential—often invisible—continues to shape our urban and civic landscape.
