Michele Tranquillini walks through the city — Milan in particular — observing and drawing its most everyday, often overlooked details: poles, manhole covers, drinking fountains, stickers, tram wires and abandoned bicycles.

The exhibition brings together a retrospective selection of sketches produced over several decades, alongside new large-scale drawings exploring the density of Tokyo and contemporary Milan. Through these works, Tranquillini invites us to look more closely at the “fragments of the city” we pass every day without truly seeing.

A participatory section will also invite visitors to use stickers to indicate the feelings prompted by these urban objects: from curiosity and wonder to irritation and indifference.
