Junior Design Lab

The Junior Design Lab (JLab) is the educational design laboratory for children and young people at ADI Design Museum – Compasso d’Oro.

Through hands-on activities, observation and design practice, the JLab introduces younger audiences to the world of design, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and environmental awareness.

Activities take inspiration from the objects awarded the Compasso d’Oro and help participants explore how products are conceived, how they respond to people’s needs and how design can contribute to imagining more sustainable and inclusive futures. 

Curated by PACOLab in collaboration with ADI, the Junior Design Lab offers educational activities for schools, families, children and young people. 

From autumn 2026, the JLab will move into a new space of over 230 square metres dedicated to design, experimentation and prototyping.
