EUmies Awards 2026 / Mies van der Rohe
On the occasion of the 140th anniversary of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s birth, the award bearing his name returns to Milan after ten years with an exhibition featuring the 40 shortlisted projects of the EUmies Awards 2026. A journey through contemporary European architecture exploring the relationship between urban context, the transformation of existing structures, and collective life.
Photographs, videos, models and pictograms offer insights into the projects, illustrating design choices, relationships with the landscape, and the opportunities created by adaptive reuse.
At its heart lies a shared question: how can quality be achieved through the transformation of what already exists, bringing the original architecture into dialogue with new uses and contemporary perspectives?
