Reason for the award:
The Jury of the XIV edition decided to confer the 1987 Compasso d'Oro Award to the "Tonietta" chair for the great style and culture lesson expressed in the creation of this chair, namely that of recalling an archetype, without a simple and trivial imitation of the morphological elements
