ICOSAEDRO

Icosaedro is a special project developed within NODI. Culture, enterprise and design of Trentino wood, designed by Mario Botta and presented in Piazza Compasso d’Oro, in front of the ADI Design Museum.

Inspired by the Cabanon, the iconic retreat by Le Corbusier on the French Riviera, the project takes the form of a small, essential architecture conceived to engage with the Alpine landscape. Icosaedro reflects on dwelling in its most primary form, reducing space to its fundamental elements while maintaining a strong symbolic presence.

Constructed entirely from Trentino wood, the project embodies the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity that defines NODI. The geometric form of the icosahedron becomes an expression of structural and conceptual rigor, transforming a minimal shelter into a powerful architectural gesture.

At the end of the exhibition, the work will be installed in Pieve Tesino, reinforcing its connection to the territory and completing its transition from experimental project to inhabitable space.
