ADI Design Index 2025 en-US

The ADI Design Index 2025 exhibition presents the selection carried out by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory, aiming to convey the richness and complexity of contemporary Italian design by intertwining languages, materials, and design visions. This year’s selection spans a wide, multidisciplinary landscape that includes design for living, lighting design, workplace design, mobility design, personal design, food design, materials and technological systems design, service design, social design, and communication design. Alongside these categories are sections dedicated to business research, exhibition design, theoretical, historical, and critical research, and editorial projects, culminating in the Targa Giovani, which highlights the new generations of designers and their interpretations of the future. Led by the ADI Design Index Committee – composed of Makio Hasuike, Domenico Sturabotti, Laura Traldi, and Francesco Zurlo – the exhibition celebrates diversity as a value, presenting a collection of experiences that, while varied in field and purpose, engage in an open and productive dialogue. Through objects, installations, research, and services, ADI Design Index 2025 offers an authentic, inclusive, and multifaceted portrait of Italian design, capable of expressing not only the aesthetic and functional excellence of the projects but also the cultural, social, and economic values that design is called upon to embody today. In this light, the exhibition becomes a tool for understanding, interpretation, and reflection on the present, inviting both professionals and the public to view design as a privileged lens through which to grasp the transformations of contemporary society and imagine its future developments.
