1 to a Million Italian Design Stories
From the Tratto Pen marker, an everyday object produced on a vast scale, to Ferrari, a symbol of Italian excellence and exclusivity, 1 to a Million Italian Design Stories explores a paradox that invites reflection on the full breadth of Italian design. Here, value is not measured by production numbers or price, but by the strength of an idea and its ability to become form.
Presented at the Oman National Museum, the exhibition examines Italian design as an international cultural phenomenon. Objects from the Historical Collection of the Compasso d’Oro enter into dialogue with interpretive materials and Steven Guarnaccia’s vivid illustrations, offering a playful rereading of the original ideas and the ways in which they were brought to life.
