Gabbianelli. Ceramics, Art, Design is the first volume dedicated to the figurative repertoire of Gabbianelli, the company founded in 1939 that played a leading role in renewing Italian ceramics through the dialogue between art and design.
Through collaborations with artists, architects, designers, photographers and graphic designers such as Gio Ponti, Lucio Fontana, Enzo Mari, Bruno Munari and Giovanni Pintori, the factory became a laboratory for aesthetic, decorative and linguistic research. The book reconstructs a history that is now largely undocumented, enriched by an extensive visual apparatus and an atlas of decorations documenting the rich repertoire produced by the company over the course of its long activity.
Speakers: Giampiero Bosoni, Andrea Gabbianelli, Francesca Picchi
