Static table clock

The simplicity and rigour of the design (from the shape to the materials), the user-friendliness of the object and the culture of the lettering all earned the Lorenz "Static" battery-operated clock the 1960 Compasso d'Oro. It has been recognized as a successful and meritorious effort that tends to subtract the production of clock-making, especially table clocks, from the prevailing intrusiveness of an inferior and “luxurious” taste that characterizes a large part of the sector.
