Stackable table service

The problem facing a “designer” in modern ceramic production is not that of replacing an “antique style” decoration with a “modern style” decoration. Rather, it involves the formal interpretation of the demands dictated by our use of it: in this model by Richard Ginori awarded the “La Rinascente Compasso d'Oro l954”, the need for a minimum of space to be occupied by the table service is formally interpreted. Although horizontal solutions for this theme have already been suggested, it is solved here by exclusively vertical stacking. The elements of this service belong, in shape and colour, to that taste for essentiality whose quality of expression is determining the modern style
