Camping tent [Julia]

The Moretti camping tent, which was awarded the Compasso d'Oro for 1960, represents an original example of design which has direct social interest, as it is a well-worked out example of temporary sheltered housing at a limited cost. The speed and ease of assembly resulting from the intelligent simplicity of the tie-rod structure and the care taken during manufacturing, the comfort achieved with unique measures both in terms of technical invention and the quality of the materials, the compactness and thus the convenient portability of the product when disassembled make this “provisional” architecture stand out as an important stage in the technical-aesthetic development of the relative Italian manufacturing sector and one in which the manufacturer can now boast a series of significant plus points.
